This album was recorded on September 8th, live, straight to 4 track cassette in front of a video documentary crew at Josh’s apartment in Humboldt Park, Chicago. It is composed of six original songs and one Sixto Rodriguez cover. Each member of the band presented two original compositions to be recorded for the album. Rand wrote Acorn Shuffle and Nothing about Immortality. Ramsey wrote Screamin Shakin and Brief Conversations with Light. Josh wrote Character Development and You Are Your Neighborhood. The Rodriguez cover is Jane S. Piddy the last cut off of his historic 1970 album, Cold Fact. The artists picked this song to commemorate Rodriguez and his commitment to modesty, honesty, and simplicity. The song itself is a reflection on the youth culture of the 70’s, and serves as a reminder to not waste your potential on self absorbed fads and destructive trends.
