For Iver Arturo Principe, Cerulean is an exposition into his personal life and confluence of new beginnings, while documenting struggles with an ideal self. Through his birth name, he gives listeners undressed lyrics that delineate much bigger concepts, all while hiding behind a cloud of light-hearted guitar picking.
Cerulean also showcases Principe's range in style of songwriting and production skills - he produced all tracks and plays all instruments.
