蕩けるような極上のメロディー、ベッドルームに広がるシンセポップはどこまでもネオアコの香り！カナダのオタワをベースに活動するロドニーとダリアス兄弟ユニットskytoneの最新アルバム。

Skytone are a Canadian duo from Ottawa consisting of brothers Rodney and Darius Doddridge. Their sound is generally considered jangle, indie pop with Rodney and Darius singing and playing all instruments on their albums. Recording and mixing is done at their home studio and albums are produced by Rodney.

Story behind the album: Adrift was recorded at various locations in Thailand.
During one session, the band recorded on the rooftop of a condo in Bangkok. After Darius finished recording a track, the session had to be immediately aborted. It was so hot that the laptop almost melted.
Other recordings were made in a townhouse in Saphli. Rodney remembers recording his guitar only to see a gecko lizard run across his laptop.

The album was mixed in a 91 Honda Accord on a beach called Tuang Wua Laen, with final recordings and mastering at a cottage in Petawawa, Canada.

Skytone は、オタワ出身のカナダ人デュオで、ロドニーとダリアスのドドリジ兄弟で構成されています。彼らのサウンドは一般的にジャングル、インディーポップと見なされており、ロドニーとダリウスがアルバムのすべての楽器を歌ったり演奏したりしています。レコーディングとミキシングはホームスタジオで行われ、アルバムはロドニーによってプロデュースされます。

アルバム制作秘話：『Adrift』はタイの様々な場所でレコーディングされました。
あるセッション中、バンドはバンコクのコンドミニアムの屋上で録音しました。ダリウスがトラックのレコーディングを終えた後、セッションはすぐに中止されなければなりませんでした。ラップトップがほとんど溶けるほどの暑さでした。
他の録音は、サフィリのタウンハウスで行われました。ロドニーは、自分のギターを録音したときだけ、ヤモリがラップトップの上を走っているのを見たことを覚えています。

アルバムはトゥアンウアレンと呼ばれるビーチで 91 ホンダアコードでミックスされ、カナダのペタワワにあるコテージで最終的なレコーディングとマスタリングが行われました。
